Prep Time 15 minutes
Cook Time 15 minutes
Servings: 12 sliders

Ingredients

  • 3 cups shredded chicken rotisserie or cooked
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 12 slider buns Hawaiian rolls recommended
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • pickles optional, to taste
  • coleslaw optional, for garnish

Method

  1. Shred the cooked chicken into small, bite-sized pieces. Toss with BBQ sauce in a large bowl until evenly coated.
  2. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the slider buns in half horizontally without separating the individual buns.
  3. Place the bottom halves of the buns on a greased or parchment-lined baking tray. Spread the BBQ chicken mixture evenly over the buns.
  4. Sprinkle a generous layer of shredded cheddar cheese on top. Add pickles or coleslaw if desired.
  5. Mix melted butter with garlic powder and brush over the top buns. Place the top halves on the sliders.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden. Serve immediately.

Notes

Rotisserie chicken is the fastest option but any pre-cooked shredded chicken works. For extra flavor, add a layer of coleslaw between the chicken and the top bun. Cover with foil for the first 10 minutes of baking, then uncover to brown.
