Method
- Shred the cooked chicken into small, bite-sized pieces. Toss with BBQ sauce in a large bowl until evenly coated.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the slider buns in half horizontally without separating the individual buns.
- Place the bottom halves of the buns on a greased or parchment-lined baking tray. Spread the BBQ chicken mixture evenly over the buns.
- Sprinkle a generous layer of shredded cheddar cheese on top. Add pickles or coleslaw if desired.
- Mix melted butter with garlic powder and brush over the top buns. Place the top halves on the sliders.
- Bake for 15 minutes until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden. Serve immediately.
Notes
Rotisserie chicken is the fastest option but any pre-cooked shredded chicken works. For extra flavor, add a layer of coleslaw between the chicken and the top bun. Cover with foil for the first 10 minutes of baking, then uncover to brown.
