Ingredients
Method
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Pat chicken wings dry and season with salt and pepper. Place on a wire rack over a lined baking sheet.
- Bake wings for 35–40 minutes until cooked through and skin is crispy.
- Meanwhile, combine BBQ sauce, honey, garlic powder, smoked paprika, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, butter, and chili flakes (if using) in a medium saucepan.
- Heat the sauce over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the butter melts and the sauce thickens slightly, about 5–7 minutes. Taste and adjust sweetness or tang as desired.
- Remove wings from oven and toss generously in the honey BBQ sauce. Return to the oven for 5 minutes until sauce caramelizes and glazes the wings.
- Serve immediately with extra sauce for dipping.
Notes
Pat wings dry before saucing for crispier skin. Bake at 400°F on a wire rack over a sheet pan for best results. For extra sticky wings, toss in sauce both before and after baking. Leftovers keep for 3 days refrigerated.
